Prescott College Cycling supports our riders in many ways:
- Riders’ race entry fees and racing license fees are covered, and transportation is provided to many of the races we attend
- Coach Kurt Refsnider (on leave during fall 2016) oversees rider development, the creation of training plans, and weekly rides/training sessions. Coach Refsnider has been racing for nearly 20 years, raced as a collegiate athlete, has extensive racing experience in road, cyclocross, and mountain bike, and currently rides for Salsa Cycles. He is also a faculty member at the College and operates his own endurance mountain bike coaching company, Ultra MTB Consulting.
Scholarships are also offered by Prescott College to our cyclists:
- $1000 scholarships are provided to all riders who are strongly involved in the team, race regularly, are involved in bike-related community service, and help lead the team. These scholarships are independent of financial need and are renewable for up to four years.
- A limited number of $3000 scholarships are available to incoming students who have extensive racing experience, a strong academic record, and want to help lead Prescott College Cycling. These scholarships are independent of financial need and are renewable for up to four years.
